Squigs’ 5x award-winning Ayurvedic prewash treatment for strong, shiny hair and a healthy scalp. Derived from the gooseberry plant, Amla oil has been used as a beauty treatment in Indian communities for centuries, but many modern formulations contain unnecessary fragrances and dyes that can potentially cause a dry, itchy, and irritated scalp. After years of testing, we finally formulated the Amla hair oil of our dreams: effective, lightweight (a.k.a. not greasy and easy to wash out), and safe for sensitive skin.

PREWASH: Massage into your scalp and comb through, using as much as is needed to coat all of your hair (or until you feel adequately dewy).

We recommend leaving it on overnight for the full experience, but if you’re in a rush (no sweat! We all are), leave it on for at least 30 minutes and then shampoo it out.

Use 1-3X a week

In addition to using as a treatment, you can also use 1-3 drops on the fly to style your hair and smooth frizz. Avoid roots. Use as often as you'd like!

P.S. We recommend storing in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Loving it

I recently bought this because I’ve been looking for a good hair oil to use before showering and this is THAT!! I’ve only used it a few times so far so I can’t speak on any of its long term/hair growth benefits but this oil genuinely makes my hair so shiny and soft after washing it out (it washes out so easily btw). This oil literally contains like the holy trifecta of oils for the hair and the fact that it is so lightweight, smells good, and makes my hair actually feel so healthy afterwards shows the amount of effort and quality that has been put into this product. This is definitely going to remain a staple in my hair care routine!

Did not like the product

Frizz no more!!

I have always had frizzy hair, and had a hard time finding the right products to smooth my hair without weighing it down after washing! I tried Gooseberry Delight Hair Oil and understand the hype about hair oiling! Not only does it smell amazing, but I love applying it as a hair mask before going to the gym, and when I wash it out my hair is SO soft and smooth! Even after air drying, I don't see all the frizz I used to have! It also just feels so nice to take a little time out of my day to treat my hair and scalp like I do for my skincare routine!
